✨ Essential Amazon Purchases for Your Disney Trip — Save Money & Stay Prepared! 🏰
Heading to Walt Disney World or Disneyland is a dream come true — but between park tickets, food, souvenirs, and unexpected expenses, costs can add up FAST. That’s why savvy Disney travelers stock up on smart essentials before they leave home — and Amazon is the PERFECT place to grab them.
Here’s a must-have packing list to help you save money, stay comfortable, and have more fun once you step foot in the parks!
🔋 1. External Charger (Power Bank)
Trust me on this- Between mobile-only tickets, Lightening Lane reservations, PhotoPass pics, and Disney apps, your phone battery will drain FAST.
Don’t spend your day hunting for charging stations — bring a reliable external charger from Amazon instead. Look for one with:
✔ Multiple USB ports
✔ High mAh capacity (for multiple charges)
✔ Compact size
Here is the link to the FuelRod they sell at Disney parks. I was so glad I bought this one because we spent a 12 hour day at the park and my phone would have died twice. I was able to charge it once with the FuelRod then exchange it FOR FREE at a trade-in station at Disney. They're located all over the parks. This was fantastic!! This one also comes with multiple adaptors to fit all phones.
☔ 2. Rain Ponchos (way cheaper than in-park!)
👉 Perfect for: rainy days, water rides, splashes on Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids.
Florida and California weather can be unpredictable — and those afternoon showers at Disney are legendary.
Sure, you can buy ponchos inside the parks… but they typically cost $10–$15+ each.
Grab a pack of affordable, disposable rain ponchos on Amazon and save yourself big bucks.
Plus, you’ll already have them when a surprise downpour hits! Quick tip: keep one in your bag, stroller, or backpack at all times.
☀️ 3. High-SPF Sunscreen – Protect Your Skin!
You’ll be outside all day long, walking miles under the sun — so quality sunscreen is non-negotiable.
Skip the overpriced parks versions and stock up with broad-spectrum SPF 50 (or higher) sunscreen on Amazon. Choose a sweat-resistant formula that won’t easily wash off — especially if you’re visiting in summer.
Tip: Pack a small travel bottle for your park bag and keep a larger one in your hotel room for mornings- before you hit the park.
Here's the link to the spray (which I prefer for the neck, arms, body).
Here's a link to a face stick (which is quick and easy for little faces).
And don't forget the lips! Here's a link to chapstick with sunscreen (we don't want any peeling lips the next day).
Or just grab a kit (or 2) to throw in your bag.
🎟️ 4. Disney MagicBands Charging Station
If you’re heading to Walt Disney World, MagicBands are super convenient wristbands that:
Act as your park ticket
Open your Disney hotel room
Tap into Lightning Lane entries
Hold PhotoPass memories
We bought them through Disney and did not regret it! It definitely added to the magic! But charging them at night (with limited outlets and cubes was a challenge).
This charging strip for magic bands was fast and efficient to ensure everyone was charged up and ready to go the next day!
🍎 5. Healthy Snacks for On-the-Go
Disney food is amazing and a must for our day in the park, but this is for in between food. Nobody wants to be hangry and a quick bite can hold you over while you're stuck in a long line or waiting.
Stock your park bag or hotel room with healthier, easy-to-eat options like:
Granola bars
Dried fruit
Nuts & trail mix
Crackers or pretzels
Fruit squeezes
These are perfect for snack breaks, ride lines, or fueling up before dinner — and your wallet will thank you. Here is a link to a large snack box, already conveniently packed to just bring on the trip.
🛍 Bonus Disney Travel Tips
✨ Adorable Disney backpack- I just had to have this Loungfly backpack! Trust me when I say, it is much cheaper on Amazon then in the park, so grab your favorite purse (or two, or three ☺️). I'm a Minnie fan, so here is what I chose.
✨ Reusable water bottles – hydration is key, and Disney will happily refill them for free. Packing your own water will save you lots of money! I opted for lightweight plastic bottles (in case my kids lost them). I got us all Disney ones to stay in the theme. Here are the ones I got the kiddos. I bought myself a blender bottle to easily put in electrolyte sticks as well. I bought a princess one (of course) and a Darth Vader one for my husband.
✨ Hydration Sticks- this is great for you and the kids to keep hydrated in the heat, but also but down on costs with expensive drinks. I love this brand because it tastes great and doesn't have a lot of additives.
✨ Cooling towels – especially helpful in hot summer months. Make sure to get a multipack for the fam.
✨ Autograph books & pens – for character meet-and-greets! Here's a Minnie Mouse one.
✨ Comfortable walking shoes – because you’ll be hitting 10+ miles some days. These Adidas shoes are the absolute most conformable shoes I've ever owned, plus they're affordable! Not to mention, they're cute too! Here is the kids shoe link and here is the adult shoe link. Trust me on these!
✨Hand sanitizer and hand sanitizing wipes (to wipe down surfaces). I couldn't help myself with this adorable Mickey Mouse hand sani. Link here.
🎢 Final Thoughts:
A Disney trip is magical — but planning ahead makes it even better. Buying these essentials on Amazon saves you money, keeps you comfortable, and lets you focus on what matters most: making magical memories.
Have fun and happy planning! ✨🏰✨
